Like the title said, I feel that the triangle sound should be louder. Because sometimes I would compare FamiTracker triangle sound with other NES games' triangle sound and I realised it is louder.

How do you compare, to NSF players or a real NES? The mixing values of the channels are taken from a real NES and should be correct. Reference: http://www.slack.net/~ant/nes-emu/apu_ref.txt.

The volume of triangle could also have been decreased if you're playing DPCM samples in the same track. Then you can use the note off command to restore it.

Maybe the nsf players around are playing the triangle too low. Or maybe in commercial soundtracks the composers have lowered the volume of the other channels to let the triangle be more audiable (and then you raise the volume on your speakers instead to compensate). I did this in a song I made and it sounded a lot more authentic than most of my other songs.

The triangle channel is also painfully LOUD when playing high-pitched notes, but this is probably realistic too.
