Hi there,

I am new to Famitracker and I am dealing with some problems right now... I guess i understood most of the elements of famitracker, but i got some Problems with the sounds... in almost every channel i either hear a piano sound + the synth sound or only a piano sound. When I save the file as a wavefile the piano isnt hearable, but with the sounds its really hard to compose tracks...

Another problem is, that i dont know how to manage the instruments correctly. Where can i set the waveform i want to use(triangle or square). i tried with the tutorial, but is does not work like it is taught there. So is it something in the application or is my MIDI driver the fault?? i dont know :-/

It would be great if someone could help me! Because i have got great plans with famitracker ;-)

You hear piano sound because of your MIDI settings, not FamiTracker.

Waveform depends from the channel and can't be changed. Sound synth of NES has five channels - first two are square, third is triangle, fourth is noise and last is DPCM (low-quality samples).

Go to File -> Configuration, select the MIDI tab, and make sure "Output" is "<none>". Then the piano should go away.
