I know I suck on a whole host of levels. Here's an unfinished piece - what can I do to polish what I already have and progress?

Do0d, you must finish this! I see this going somewhere, especially after you introduced the last 4 frames, I would have a few ideas to advance it a few frames further.

That's a pretty interesting style you've got there.

I'm not too sure what to do with it, myself, but I messed with some of the early patterns and did some things I would normally do - maybe they'll help give you some ideas.

Oh shit, Collab time! J/K. I added to the last frame just for shits and giggles. I like this track.

Ahaha! Wheee!

It's totally not obvious a couple of metal-heads are jacking with this track.

Edit - Whoops! Left some effects active on accident.

natty,

man i really like what you have so far, imho the best stuff i've heard at this point (your tracking/nes/or whatever technique is catching up with your writing style), i really dig this.

as far as where to take it, dude just keep adding stuff as you see fit. i doubt your own intuition will lead you astray.

Wow! You guys have really done some great work. Sorry it's taken so long to reply - internet problems and friends staying over.
Now I have the dilemma of trying not to rob what you've done and call it my own...

I may, however, replicate those little bits like the extra channels in the intro, and maybe something similar with the echo effect on the blip organ. I'm gonna have my work cut out for me though if I want to turn it into something as full bodied as what you've done!

Gyms, as ever, the sagacious frog of Famitracker world. Thanks for your kind input also!

Take what you need man, we were just messin' around. We actually thought we'd completely destroyed your vision.

Well yes you did and no you didn't! My original vision certainly didn't suddenly break-down into a multi-harmonic metal chiptune and change again and again...

However in the name of science my version now does that... albeit in a lesser kind of way.

I was a good opportunity for me to practise doing some stuff I don't normally do, regardless of whether it still creates a cohesive piece.

Lemme know what you think.
