I had this idea a couple weeks ago and all of a sudden it popped into my mind again.
So what if we could completely hide and arrange channels the way we wanted? Let's say I only use 2 VRC7 channels in a song, but there's 4 more looking so empty on the right. Or maybe I use the N163 and only ever use the Noise and DPCM of the 2A03, which leaves emtpy space to look at on the left.
Of course the frame editor would have to reflect the changes you make in the channel arrangements and somehow tell that each channel is what.
Might be a stupid idea, and might require to redesign the entire tracker interface. Should that be the case, disregard this thread entirely.
P.S.:Oh, and maybe letting us rename channels would be nice too.
This would be very cool to have. A sort of personally cleaned-up version of FT.

I'm not sure letting people rename channels would be a good idea, though. It might be nice for you, but it would probably be very confusing for people trying to learn from FTMs with such a feature.

An option to hide and move around channels is something I've actually planned to add, but it has low priority at the moment. I haven't thought about renaming channels but that would be easy to add.
