It's been a while since I used my Famitracker, but recently I tried using it again and I've stumbled across a wee annoying problem. Whenever I enter a note in the editor, it simply does NOT stop playing. In other words, my songs sound like a mass of random whining... any way to fix this?

You mean vibrato or what? Vibrato is 4xx effect, you can also use pitch sequence in instrument editor.

You can't do this on NES, it's filter-based effect. However, you can imitate expression of the effect. For example, you can use two channels for same notes with different duty cycle and volume or with same duty cycle but slight detune. Here are two examples: [url=http://shiru.untergrund.net/temp/wah1.ftm]with duty cycle, [url=http://shiru.untergrund.net/temp/wah2.ftm]with detune.
