Okay, so, my FamiTracker keeps saying that my sound settings need to be changed, because they're not working. This is weird, because yesterday, it was working just fine. Perfectly.
So does anyone have some kind of optimal sound settings that they prefer, or could someone tell me the defaults. I didn't mess with the settings prior to this, either.

What seems to be the problem? If there's no problem, no need to fix it, regardless of what the program tells you.
Sometimes I get the same message after minimising and maximising the window, because the brief moment it takes for the program to begin drawing the visuals again causes the CPU load to increase, fooling the program into thinking the buffer length is too short (when it's actually fine).
If you do notice stuttering, then perhaps inreasing the buffer length by a few milliseconds would help.

Resetting your settings to the default can be done by going to Start > Run... and typing "regedit" to open the registry editor. Search for "FamiTracker" and delete the entire folder of keys it finds.
The problem is that when I hit enter (my play track key) the music doesn't start, and it won't allow me to move my cursor. I guess I should've been more specific. XD
This problem occurs when the DirectSound buffer fails to play the audio. It could be caused by selecting a bad output device, a buffer too small or the audio device not working properly (bad drivers, settings etc). If you have working audio in other programs then deleting the registry keys is a good start, as suggested.
As it turns out, I had FL Studio running in the background. I don't know why, but when this is running, it prevents any other audio program, or website, from playing audio. So I figured out the problem. Thanks for all the help guys!
By default, FL studio runs its sound through an audio driver called ASIO4ALL, which takes control of your audio device and prevents anything else from using it.
