So I decided to transfer some of my files from XP and Vista to Windows 7 and, for some reason, when there's a note number by itself, it doesn't work. Here's an example.
In the attachment, you will find a small portion of the main melody of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood - Bloodlines. Notice the 14 by itself. On a Windows XP and Vista, it works fine. On a 7, I have to put in the note itself as well as the number, as I did in Line 74 in case you wanted a comparison. Any idea as to why this happens?

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3633]request a hardware render.
0.3.7; I have no access to the 4 Beta.
I don't know; I seem to be running in this problem only on a Windows 7. I know, it's a little odd of an argument saying that it doesn't work without the note itself, both the note and the number have to be together, but it's worked otherwise on XP AND Vista. It's ONLY Windows 7 that freaks out. Hell, I had to change all of the "14s" and put notes on them when i was working with 7, which was tedious. I'm not sure why I'm the only person having this problem and there's nothing wrong with the computers themselves (I used 3 Windows 7 Computers to be sure).
Edit: I can bring up a much bigger example with a bigger volume difference. I've noticed that with it shifts from one instrument to another and the next one doesn't have a set volume to play, it runs into another situation on its own right, but I've prepared another piece of evidence for those working with 0.3.7 and on a Windows 7, just to see if I'm going crazy or not. Here's the sample, pretty simple and self explanatory. See if the note number by itself and the note+number work on a Windows 7 (I know, repetitive, but it's starting to bug me). On XP and Vista, both work. I've sound checked it.

Again, no problem here with either version (0.3.7 or 0.3.8), also under W7...

That's just completely odd. I've taken serious note of the volume of each one and everything. I first noticed this in my Julius Belmont theme when I played it in W7. The lingering note didn't stop until the next note played, not until the note number was passed. Maybe I'm the only one that has it happen and if I could get video proof, I would, but I'm short 1 camera and 2 decent desktop recorders

You could always grab the [url=http://famitracker.com/files/beta.rar]0.3.8 beta and give that a go, see if it still does it.

I'll check the next time I'm on a W7. Thanks for the help, j, and thanks for the 3.8 beta. I have some Namco Chip Testing to do in the middle of all this :D
