I've already received a few voting sheets from participants left and right, so I took some time to prepare the spreadsheet and enter what votes I had, and good grief! I have to say, right now it's a very very close 3-way fight for 1st place (down to the second decimal of the score). Amazing!

Of course it's still way too early to have a precise idea of the results, but still, I've never seen such a tight battle for gold. o:

I'm going through and ranking everything right now. I think i've got an idea of what everybody else will be looking for, but my opinions differ from that. I think you might see an upset once I get my votes in.

Um, I understand voting in the musical aspect, but what does it mean with technical?

I suppose the nifty tricky trick hacks people used to achieve a certain sounding song.

Alright, simple enough. Thanks for the aid; oh, and I also assume you aren't allowed to vote on your own works?

I noticed that quite few of the entries could have been optimised better, though some more than others.

There's also a few multi-track entries that I wish could be single-track because I love one track but the other(s) let it down.

I think I spot GlitchKing's and DalekSam's entry.

Voteoood!!

I think I remember jrle stating that if somebody votes on their own entries, those votes are not factored into the results.

I could be wrong, though. I think it's kind of egotistical to do so regardless; and the last one I participated in, I didn't vote for my own stuff.

and, yeah. some of the multitrack entries had one, or maybe even two songs that were really awesome, but had one that seemed unpolished or otherwise just wasn't as good as the other(s). in these instances, I voted based on what I felt were the best song(s) of the project, and didn't even consider the weaker one(s). I don't think that a rushed addition to their entry should drag down what was otherwise an amazing contribution.

That's a lie because nobody else likes Thunderforce III as much as he does

Votes submitted and emailed to you, jrlepage. I think overall it was good, but there were a couple pieces here and there that I thought could use a little extra touch (not by much, though; I could see a lot of effort put into plenty of these pieces).

For me, it's moments where I'm watching the notes scroll by and I hear something that makes me go "whoa, how did they DO that?" making me pause the song and look at instruments/study effect usage.

Also, if they make the chip really sing instead of sounding like a ColorDreams game.
