I'm a bit new haha. And I've made this so far; it's Atop the World; the main track to Tower of Heaven. And in the original, which is an 8bit itself, it has a lower, more rougher sounding bass tone that compliments the lead... Or something along those lines hahaha. I am just confused on how to get this more rougher tone than what I am using right now.

The original is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dec4Qgoi4TQ

The original is supposed to sound more like a Gameboy, that's why. Gameboy has a custom waveform instead of a triangle wave like the NES. Also, the original isn't true 8-bit as far as I know. Either way, if you want a beefy bass, play with the FDS channel.

It also helps to post the .ftm so that people can look at it and can be of more help. You'll get more help from people if you post the .ftm.

Haha, I tried doing that, but I'm still trying to figure out the interface and how to do all that. But thanks for the advice!

I would suggest using Kurobit's cover as an example for FDS instruments
