It's no big deal really, just write the ftm within the amount of alloted time or don't. I'm sure the more talented folks are happy to honor the system as a challenge to themselves anyway.
edit: I will say this though, it was both silly and a bit dishonest to ditch the schedules after the contest was already started.
So either I have honor and won't write anything for any of these, or I'll not have honor and write something. Or I could write something in the time limit, but what are the odds that I'll actually do something good during a specific set time

The intention to have things written on the spot was never clear in the initial thread. Especially so with the schedule.
The rules since DC1 wrote:
-Anonymity is strongly encouraged to make voting as fair as possible. In keeping with this guideline, submitting modules written prior to the competition is strongly discouraged.
The schedule I abandoned precisely because of the widespread disregard for this rule.
There's probably some programmer speak that is exactly what I interpreted, but meh. I thought it was only to not submit modules that have been publicly available prior to DC1, not whichever chip we're on at the current moment. I still feel there's a bit of that spirit if the .ftm is created specifically for this comp. No modules created before March 16 2012
Is this an acceptable comprimise?
No files that have been lying around for ages, and each of them created specifically because "oh hey, there's a competion, I'll make an entry"
