What pitch, duty and volume (maybe other parameters) should I use to make it sound exactly as in real?
And here's the link for original NSF - [url=http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf/somari.html]link

I felt embarrassed just listening to that somari nsf. Oy.

Your duty is right, your envelope is not, sounds like the original has a sharp volume attack and a lower volumed sustain. Also your noise has no envelope, where the original has fades. Your notes are all wrong as well. You're in the wrong key.

I increased notes a bit some time ago, it seems that music became bad =(
reuploaded the whole version, dunno if it can help anyway

P.S. I'm just starting writing/converting music...erm....to have an experience and then to avoid such BIG mistakes

Why you'd want to associate yourself with those sickly unlicensed game soundtracks is beyond me

another question: How to make that "swirling" sound in song 8(square 2)?
I think it's volume change like this: 11 22 33 44 11 22 33...

Fool around a bit with the vibrato effect (4XX). Here's a crappy, inaccurate example :P

It sounds like a very bad arpeggio trying to compensate for a vibrato. It seems to go: base note, semi tone up, semi tone up..repeat.

Ugh this is so bad, why are you remaking this?

I started with Megaman 1 Wily Stage 1
So now I'm converting note by note some songs, now - Somari...then maybe Panic Restaurant,Darkwing Duck,Kage...
I'm remaking them,because I like them =)

Well it would be cool if you remade more accurate remakes of the original Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack instead of this, which seems to get a lot of the notes wrong and the rhythms completely wrong. I've been remaking for years, and it always seemed to me that remaking music from bad sources only ever teaches people to be bad musicians.

If you're going to remake it, maybe fixing it to sound like it should would be a good plan?

Maybe, but problem is that I played Somari on original NES much earlier then Sonic(on PC) and for now I just don't remember Sonic music unlike Somari's.
And maybe I am remaking it now, because it's not so complicated...

Anyway, this is my Wily Stage 1 convert.2nd frame(square 1) seems to sound not like original, but overall I am satisfied with the whole song.

Yeah, I've finally done it. It sounds almost like the real from NSF.

See I'm just not feeling Somari's version.. I'm too used to the original:

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=TSKgprdDRTY

But anyway it sounds alright..could use some work, same with Wily. Wily has some wrong notes, and the tempo's a bit slow. Try maybe 140 or so, that would probably work out a little better than the tempo you have.

Goodluck with everything else!

Thank you for all your help!
After fixing Wily Stage, I'll start remaking one of Kage's songs. And that will be more difficult...a lot more
