Unsure if this would be possible, but what I am asking for is a command that changes the modulator level slider on custom VRC7 instruments.

It's possible to make various instruments to make the slider change and this is the problem. You run out of instruments.

Example in attachments.

Yeah, I've been wanting this for a while now, it would be super useful. Here's hoping!

Nice demonstration loop by the way. Shows what sounds a command like this could make, without the cumbersome extra instruments anyway.

Perhaps it would be good to just have a set of 8 effects that would fill the 8 [url=http://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.php/VRC7_audio#Custom_Patch]custom patch registers. I dunno if there's a set of 8 contiguous unused letters for the VRC7 but probably there is a range somewhere. I'd suggest 0xx-7xx but some of them are already in use.
