I use LSDJ a lot alongside FamiTracker. One 'feature' in LSDJ (and a few other trackers) that I love is that when you leave the instrument column blank, the note will change, but the instrument does not re-trigger. This is useful in a lot of situations like making a simple echo or continuing a modulated pulse width viz. commodore 64. It is possible to achieve this with Qxx and Rxx if the notes aren't too far apart, but not if they are, say, an octave or more. AFAIK, there isn't a straightforward way to do this at all in FamiTracker.
I apologize if this has been suggested before. I looked briefly about the forum and couldn't find anything like this.

Yeah I sometimes with this existed. A lot of the time I use a blank instrument so it doesn't matter, but there are a few ways I get around it when I need it:
1. Build a second instrument that skips the instrument's attack so I can switch to it in the middle.
2. Build an instrument with an arpeggio macro to jump to that note.
I think VRC7 is an exception to this, where effects like 3xx actually suppress a note retrigger.
Yeah, I figured that out too. Those methods work finely, but they are a bit contrived by comparison. I dunno, This can't be that difficult to implement and it would give a purpose to deleting the numbers other than for 'aesthetic' purposes.

Not having the instrument printed allows you to have a jump that's not actually your loop point, by setting the instrument to a silent one before beginning (a one-line frame mayhaps), then having blank instruments that are set to real ones before the loop point.
EDIT: But I'd totally love to see a release delay command like the cut delay one.

I know you can do this while using rainwarrior's methods. But consider instruments that have long, looping macros in the arpeggio or pitch functions. If you wanted to continue the loop from note to note without starting from the beginning each time, you'd need something like this... Or a million instruments to facilitate the different loop points for each note.
I don't think this would be very difficult to implement. It's a nice feature that a lot of other trackers have and it would be nice if FamiTracker had it too.
