Is FamiTracker.chm in the same folder as your .exe? Also what version are you using? Under what OS?

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to request a hardware render.
Nope, no chm files. There's a "FamiTracker Compiled HTML Help file" that contains nothing though.
I downloaded the version listed as the most recent on the site. Running under XP. FT itself works fine, but the Help files all have question mark icons at best; F1 pops up a box that says "Failed to launch help" the rest of the time.
The EXE has to be named FamiTracker.exe I think. Did you rename it? I'm guessing not, as it's a kind of pointless thing to do, but.. who knows. :p

I added the .EXE and the icon changed to the usual blue box. Added .EXE to the Help file. Now it loads when I press F1, but all the files are still blank and have question mark icons. I've tried re-downloading. Same thing. Weird.
Version 0.3.6 does the same thing. It looks like instead of a downloaded help file, it's trying to connect to an online one. I just want to be able to download it so I can have it, whether I'm connected to the internet or not.
Ok, when you install Famitracker, there should be 3 files:
famitracker.exe
famitracker.chm
readme.txt
Depending on your Windows settings, the file extension may be hidden, and the files look like this instead:
famitracker
famitracker
readme
The smaller "famitracker" file is the help file. Download a chm viewer (or equivalent browser plugin) and open this file in the viewer or browser. You don't need to be connected to the internet to view the file, you just need the viewer.
I guess you could try a CHM to PDF converter, or just download parts of the wiki itself (such as the Famitracker effects list) so you can view them offline.
Sounds like the real problem tho is in your Windows registry. A service pack update or very careful use of Regedit might do the trick.
