I have this silly idea now that I nsfimported a Castlevania 3 song and looked at the instruments. What if you could assign volume and fixed arps to notes like how you do with dpcm samples? It would make keeping track of percussive instruments easier as you wouldn't have to make instruments for each one of them.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of being able to return to the desired pitch at the end of the fixed arp?

I mostly meant this to be used for noise instruments, not triangle.

actually this is how 0.3.5 to 0.3.7 handle the fixed arp if you create fixed arps in 0.3.0r or 0.3.8b, and then open it in these unsupported versions

no assignments of course

I can see how something like this would be useful, but I think it's too much work at the moment. Perhaps later.

I don't think it's TOO much of an inconvenience, and having the option open to change the pitch of your noise instruments after making them is good.
