I've created a shared YouTube page where anybody who can use famitracker (to a descent standard) can release videos.

If you can get a decent amount of songs up I guess it could be like a hub of Famitracker music, although it would take quite a bit of time and effort to get a lot of material posted there.

I can't see this becoming a very popular thing. Most of those who wish to use YouTube as an outlet for their work already have their own channel.

Besides, who's gonna be judging? You? That's not very fair. If I'm going to have to subject myself to the tastes of one person without much credibility in terms of FamiTracker background and competence, I might as well post my stuff on my own channel.

And even if it's a general consensus thing, it's still a tedious and unnecessary process to have to go through to get one's stuff on YouTube, moreso than just uploading a video to one's own channel.

The only thing left is a common viewer base, but it's definitely not a strong enough incentive to get me to participate in a common YouTube channel.

This is a derogatory channel to FamiTracker whom we loved. Furthermore, why is Protowen a recommended channel for all Famitracketeers [sic]?

And yes, there was indeed once a YouTube user called FamiTracker who does music in FamiTracker and made some Mega Man-style tunes. He was known on AIM as FamiTrackerII, but of course he never gets on.

it still is a feasible idea, if you have an enormous amount of time to devote to it.

I'm assuming since this is a channel devoted to famitracker, that the videos would be just that - videos of the tracker playing songs? if so that amount of recording would take days alone.

Eh, the thing is a lot of us already have YouTube channels of our own.

I like the idea of their being a YouTube "hub" for FamiTracker stuff, but I don't think having us upload videos to a shared channel is really going to accomplish that. (The hub is right here, really.)

You could create a best-of-FamiTracker playlist out of existing videos already, if that's your aim.

Maybe a monthly podcast 30 minute show or something would be worthwhile? I dunno.
