As long as I'm making the game (an RPG, to be exact), I figured I'd show off some of the new tunes I've been making for it. It's going to be in the style of the NES — mostly because I'm only really capable of making good-sounding music with FamiTracker. ^^; MIDI has an overwhelming amount of instruments. o_o
Anyway, the tracks are as follows:
Track 1: Logo
Track 2: Intro
Track 3: Cheerful Town
Track 4: Underwater Ruin
Track 5: Evil Lair (unfinished)
Track 6: Ruined Town/Sad Theme (unfinished)
Track 7: Battle Mode!
Track 8: ? (unfinished)
Track 9: Flight of the Airship (unfinished)
Track 10: Credits (unfinished)
I'm thinking of maybe lengthening track 4, though — it seems a little short and repetitious, and I'm wanting to add a bit of flute to it anyway. Of course, it'd be easier to lengthen it if I could duplicate multiple frames. <.<'
So — comments? Anything I can improve on these?
I've also got a few other tracks started, but they're currently just one-channel tracks, hence why I excluded them from the NSF. I can upload an NSF with them included if desired.
Edit: replaced the NSF and updated track list; tweaked the Cheerful Town track (it's slightly less repetitive now).
No updates at the moment, no — I've been having a little trouble in real life; long story short: I lack access to my computer at the moment, and don't have the FTM with me to work on. ^^;
Probably won't get it back for a while, possibly a couple of months.
Well, still no update on the other music, but I recently finished an almost-identical cover of the underworld music from The Adventures of Lolo 3 — the timing on some of the Triangle notes are still off slightly, but it's as close as I can get. I'm wanting to soup it up a bit by adding VRC6 to it so it has more bass. :D
I've also uploaded the FTM in case anyone wants the instruments; the DPCM samples are ripped from the Lolo 3 NSF, though.
