This might not be the right section (god I sound like a noob), but I can't seem to find any different tutorials besides the one guy on youtube. I already know mostly the basics. How to make basic instruments, write the music, make effects multiple songs and all that jazz. I just have no idea how to make GOOD music, and everything I make sucks. The sound is the main problem. It just isn't that NES sounding to me. All I want to do is make decent 8-bit music for my 8-bit style game.

So what I was trying to get to in my long paragraph was if there was some advanced tutorial on utilizing famitracker's pure NESsiness. So... is there?

NOTE: This attachment is the first song I made, I abandoned it as soon as I saw one of those famitracker youtube videos. Just so you know what level I'm at.

Those video guides nicetas posted are freakin' amazing.

If you have very specific sounds in mind that aren't covered in the videos, though, you should find NSFs with the sound you want and use Rainwarrior's NSF Importer to look at how the sound is made in FamiTracker.
