Back in my days when I was engineering a song for Eric Hache for the GBC called "Infinity", one thing about that tracker always made me happy: It had 3 effect columns. This was a necessity mostly because if you're trying to save time and instrument counts, you could swap things on the fly in the pattern itself, which was great. It would be cool if FamiTracker had that sort of option.
Also, I was hoping for some kind of volume-slide effect in the effects list. Maybe I'm missing it, but I can't figure out how to do any..and doing a gradient slide in the volume column is not a good way to do it IMO because row resolution is a definite factor.
I suppose I'll have to rely on instrumentation for those right now, but my instrument list is going to get very messy.

A gradient slide in the volume column is the only way to do it. Why not just use a higher speed and space your notes further apart?
Awesome, okay so the multi-effect columns thing was my bad (Actually, the documentation is very uninformative in places so I'll blame that. :D)
Anyway, furrykef, I know you can do it that way but it seems to be more of a pain in the butt, especially if your notes are already placed. I was just hoping for some kind of volume slides, but it's fine..I'll use instrumentation instead, it's more precise and it doesn't require me to have to go insane trying to find workarounds in the pattern.
The new WIP build that was just released supports volume slides now. Beware that modules saved in the WIP version won't work in 0.2.7, though. You can get the WIP build in [url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/forum/posts.php?id=73]this thread. (Also, anything in a WIP build is subject to change before release, so your module might not work in later versions, either.)
