Not sure if this is a bug or i am doing something wrong, but appearantly some waveforms screw up other instruments'/ waveforms.(turn some channels on and off and hear the difference)

Because you've got all the waves overlapping each other in the wave table - note the wave position in the wave editor. All you've got to do is have each different wave in a different position.

Despite that, you can have two waves in the same position, you just can't play them at the same time (sort of like with custom VRC7 patches)

I have a request regarding MIDI. Please make it so that the program automatically creates frames while MIDI recording.
Another request I have is for a release delay effect. Yeah, I could make another instrument, but it takes up more space.

Wow, nicetas. You always get the weirder bugs.

And, well, for me, everytime I close FT after saving I get a notification that it crashed. It's not an internal notification (which would generate a MiniDump), it's a Windows one. (I'm using 7, by the way.)

So far it hasn't interfered with any proper saving of my files, but it's still kinda odd and upsetting.

I get a crash error sometimes when I CLOSE Famitracker. Though I gave jsr the MiniDump.dmp file and he said he didn't know what was causing it. I told him that I think it was probably from my copying/pasting.

I forgot to mention - since 0.3.7 the octave transpose keys "/" & "*" now do the opposite of each other. I realize this might not be a bug due to it being in a official release. But could someone explain why it is like this?

I think they were named backwards in the settings intially; I believe he changed the default settings to set it up the non-backwards way, but if you have old settings that you never got rid of they still carry over from the time they were reversed. Just go change your keyboard settings for those keys and you should be fine forever.

YES PLEASE. That would make MIDI recording so much easier and it would be less of a hassle to guesstimate how many frames you want to record.

Making this short cover as a startoff I haven't noticed anything strange yet.

EDIT: Hmm actually, I find it very easy to get keys "stuck" when I press two keys at a time (when I test my instruments in normal mode)

Also, the note delay can be useful because that way it wouldn't reset the instrument pitch setting. I hate it when it does that. I'm not one to really export NSF files so I can understand just making another instrument, but I think for the instrument pitch settings, it would be best for a note release delay.

I'm not sure of whether this is a bug or a feature of the N163, but there are always 16 volume levels no matter what the volume is as dictated by the wave or the volume macro.

For example... If you have a 50% Square wave as your custom waveform, and the wave is 8 samples high (rather than 16), and at full volume, it should correspond to a volume of 8. However, if you use the volume column you still have ALL SIXTEEN (including zero) volume levels to play back.

It is only when you have a wave that is at half the height, and at half the volume that the number of available volume levels drops to 8.

If this is a bug... I don't actually care if it's not fixed because it doesn't break the NSFs, and It's a cool feature to have in-tracker, but whatever needs to be done.

Bro, you need to change wave size and position like this! There is only so much space...

EDIT:

Is repeatedly mashing ctrl+g with everything selected supposed to decrease notes? D:

There is nothing wrong with it, I don't see why you would likewise make a wave of 1 sample high and confine yourself within one constant volume.

Why can't I use more than one waveform at once?

Or... When you have the waveform opened in an audio editor, run your FamiTracker window transparent & on top of the audio editor. Then, trace out the waveform directly from there.

In Windows XP, you can use this program to make windows transparent:

Since I don't use Windows 7, I don't have any tips on making windows transparent.

or just do what i do

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9-1nQ-7jKI

updated program so it tells you things like "this isn't pcm encoded." the program only accepts non-compressed WAVs, and only 24/16 bit. If it's too long it will just be a mess of very similar values though - just take a really small amount of the wav (as I did in the video). Goldwave is pretty useful because you can play loops (mine is set to loop 10,000 times or something around there).
