Most of my games do. My brother used to play Tetris in his room with the doors closed and you could hear the bassline from across the house.

I've actually heard lots of (non-chiptune) people claim that 8-bit music doesn't have any bass, and I don't understand why or how people got to thinking that way. Maybe they played NES games on TVs with tinny speakers as a kid?
also more bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wZGVazbJYY

Personally, I agree with what rainwarrior and cak were saying/referencing about the triangle channel. I've always found it produces a rather 'weak' bass sound (unless manipulated via volumes etc). When I play almost any NES tune through my laptop speakers, I get virtually no bass. Hence, I basically use my main speakers or headphones whenever I do chiptune stuffs.
I guess you can consider it a 'curse' of an outdated form of music synthesis (although I'm aware that other waves can produce a far superior bass sound).
On laptop speakers a lot of the time the triangle channel gets kinda buried in the mix. Maybe this is part of the problem...
But seriously, pretty much every NES game has basslines.
That's probably the reason why they say nes music don't have any bass. I do agree the triangle is a little weak with the bass but it has more to do with your speakers then the music.... Though it's much better than anything the SMS has to over.

Man, you need a laptop with a built-in subwoofer. Mine has one and it's absolutely amazing. It probably has better bass than my headphones.
Anyway, my brother had a crappy little 1980 tube TV and it had epic bass... :/

Hmm, it seems it was probably the tv then.. none of the tv's i've played NES on were good enough to produce noticeable basslines. only using my headphones do i notice the faint triangles..
