I've had little sound development experience in the past, and I am really interested in making 8-bit styled music. Up until this point, I have been using numerous VSTi's in an attempt to do it, and in short, it left much to be desired. Now that I have tried FamiTracker, I have noticed that it sounds alot closer to a real famicom, and thus would be REALLY great for any further sound development. But I have come across a small issue, again, its due to my inexperience...

When I am attempting to make some music, I can get it to create the desired sounds and whathaveyou (I'm using the first square wave channel), but for some reason, a blatant MIDI keyboard is heard when I play the song back... I dont know what's up... can someone help me figure this out? Thanks for your help ahead of time.

Now I dont even have the dreaded piano or square waves I wanted, I have nothing. I cant hear anything. My "Input Device" block is blank, is it supposed to be that way?

No, your input device should be your MIDI keyboard, but your output device should be left blank. I think. If you don't have a MIDI keyboard you can always play on the computer keyboard instead.
