Hi, Ive been working with famitracker for about 6 months now, ive produced a handful of garbage tunes. I've never really tried to use the vrc7, until now.
Ive noticed, wehn the vrc7 is the selected expansion, 2a03/2a07 instruments are VERY quiet. ( i read that this is SUPPOSED to be like this)
Also, I found that multiple VRC7 instruments cannt function at the same time. I'm not sure if its the same for everyone, i downloaded someone elses ftm, and their [vrc7] insturments didnt blend? How cna i stop my VRC7 instruments from all mixing together?
(I make 2 instuemnts one for channel 1 and another for channel 2. one instrument is bass the other is the lead. but whenever both are triggered at the same time, the base overpowers and NONE of the lead synth is heard.)

If you're using the latest public version (3.7) you should be good to go as far as I know. When VRC7 was first introduced the volume tables were dramatically different compared to the latest version, so that's why I asked.

You should be able to hear both your instruments perfectly fine, unless they are both custom patched. It's critically important to remember that only one custom patch can be played at a time, so if both of your instruments are custom then it should be obvious as to why you can't hear one of them while both are being played simultaneously.

Mex is correct: the VRC7 is very limited memory-wise, and only features one memory address for custom instruments, so when one is defined, only that one can be used by any of the 6 channels.

That piece of info you could've found right here in the [url=http://www.famitracker.shoodot.net/wiki/index.php5?title=VRC7#Konami_VRC7]wiki, by the way. Just saying.

Good luck in your future FamiTracker projects.
