No idea if this was requested before, I couldn't find any other threads mentioning it.
Many trackers have this useful little function where you can choose to get rid of the whole song data in just one or two clicks - leaving the instrument data intact (e.g. the "Zap" button in MilkyTracker).
Unless I'm completely missing something there's no easy way to do that in FamiTracker.
I often reuse a whole set of instruments from another ftm. Exporting and importing them one by one or clearing every single pattern of the song can be very tedious.
I guess it shouldn't be too difficult to implement said function.
Either that or an improved instrument management, i.e. the ability to export/import more than one instrument at a time. It would make life for me (and probably a few others) much easier.
Can't you just import all the instruments once, then save the song as "Default.ftm" or whatever, then every time you want to make a new song, load it and save it as something else? I guess the feature you request would be pretty nice though, and probably very easy to implement.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing.
Usually, though, I keep modifying and adding stuff to my instrument library during composition and I might want to use that library for future tunes.
