Is this program only able to create 8bit songs? Or are you able to manipulate the sounds so that you can create about every different sound in existence? I'd like to create a song, and I haven't quite figured out this program, but I'm not really interested in creating 8bit or electronic-sounding music, so if I can't make anything else other than that, I'll save myself the trouble of figuring out this program. But if I can do other things with this, like create instruments that match up to real-life instruments, then I want to know how. I have watched some tutorials, but it only showed how to create 8bit songs.
Yeah, Famitracker only does 8-Bit songs like a Famicom, thus the name Famitracker. If you want to make music with realistic instruments, you'd have to use something like FL Studio, PXTone, OpenMPT and such.
I'd recommend finding a bunch of wav files for the instruments you want and trying out Milkytracker... but maybe an FM synth plugin or something in FL Studio or Renoise would be easier.
im going to continue making this crazy stuff then after a while my style will be so sick that you will be like damn suuun that shit is so sick i dont even get it. i will be like bro its ok.. you dont have to.

I like FL Studio, myself, though it can be intimidating.
There's a pretty sweet Genny soundfont out there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWEMmTUZtLs
I find it pretty insulting to people like myself who actually put the effort in and do it on the actual system itself, but I guess.
For fake-bit, though, I'd recommend getting some simple getting some simple oscillator samples. If you're interested in old FM synthesis, there's VOPM (and FM8, but that's a 6 op synth, not a 4 op one). Samples like the ones found on the NES aren't hard to recreate, it's really the shark-triangle that you'll need to watch for.
For newer things that aren't electronic you should watch out for things that emulate real sounds; MusicLab make excelent guitar emulators, for example. You really need to look for what software suits you, it's a matter of taste, really. Alternatively, record yourself playing instruments, always an alternative to expensive software! :P
Do you all know of any other free tracker programs or decent synth programs?
check out Sunvox.
I just came across it today, looks very nice if you're looking for a decent tracker/softsynth combo.
I guess the questions are:
1.) What kind of music are you looking to make?
2.) How high is your sound-quality standard?
3.) How much control do you want?
and
4.) Do you like trackers, step-sequencers, or weird modular stuff?
