I would like to use such a soundtrack for a turn-based RPG, but I would take me muxh time to create such a game...
OST file is for background music
Short theme is for jingles
Sound Effects, as its name implies.
Hey, that's pretty good! I hope you don't mind, but I spruced both versions up a little, to fix some things that kinda bugged me, which were mostly with the echoes.

Now it sounds less simple, and a little more Konami'ish. Thanks!
I have a related question - how many people enjoy this thread? Most things here don't receive comments - and the things that do often are good enough to deserve their own thread. Is the thread's only purpose making sure that ftms that don't need comment don't get it, but the maker feels satisfied in that they've 'put it up somewhere'? What if people each made their own 'stuff I made that doesn't deserve its own thread/WIPs' topics, as an alternative model?

I think the big problem with this thread is that, being essentially a mega-thread that everyone can post on, that comments aren't coming unless, as you said, the song is really good.
If you go back to some of the past threads, you'll see there are a few songs which are doodles or short loops, and those are what this thread was created for. Instead of making your own thread for some song that's 20 seconds, you could just put it here. If you wanted some commentary though, it's a gamble. You might get someone to say "good job" or such, and you might not.
I, personally, like this thread, except for the fact that most of my work probably won't get (and hasn't been) commented on and instead will be passed up.
Say that I've got a project I have been working on, and I want to show off a song, but the only problem is that the song is about 21 seconds (such as the file posted below,) should I post it here, since it's a short loop, or make its own thread, being a part of a bigger project? I ask that because of the fact that making your own thread for a short loop has been frowned upon, and another reason why this thread was made. To quote the first post:

Hi everyone,
In recent weeks there have been many instances of new and old (especially new) members opening threads just to share random 10-second loops that - by their own admission - they didn't really put much time and effort into. These topics tend to take up lots of space and, unfortunately, push more serious stuff down the list of topics.
Then, Dan had an idea:

how about a sticky for everyone (new and old) to post their random doodles and whatnot for everyone to hear, regardless of the amount of effort/time put into them?
Sounds like a plan. So let's hear what random bits of chiptune you guys have to share.
I will be doing semi-regular housekeeping in this thread.

Write a longer song too, then post both songs in a new thread.
