K, so this is getting rly anoying. Loads of songs that i extract to NSF-files keep sounding diffrent from the tunes playing in fmt.
Some sounds are playing faster then they should be, some are in places they rly should'nt be and so forth.
Anyone that seems to know what the problem is? Crying is about to go down.
Gum, I just checked yours and apparently after deleting all the redundant things, it was fixed. I'm not sure at what point it was fixed, but here are some tips:
1. Use the instrument column only when you're actually choosing an instrument. You had a lot of numbers in the instrument column where they apparently do nothing. because that instrument was already chosen.
2. Same with the volume column. The volume column affects the current volume, and doesn't need to be set every time. ONLY when you change the volume. You have it appearing several times, though it's not as bad as the instrument column abuse and I actually doubt this was the cause of the trouble.
i've had numerous problems like this, and when i've encountered them i've tried to figure out exactly what the problem is (through trial and error/testing) then inform jsr. i guess that ftm is gone for good now.
Alright. This is getting more and more irritating. I've cleaned the file up, but now it won't export at all! Famitracker crashes when I try to make an NSF file.
Do you guys have any idea why this happens?
Here is the project file:
EDIT: removed file. See below.
Okay. After reading this thread I tried went back and specified the instrument for every note in the sample channel. And now it doesn't crash when exporting!
But now I'm experiencing a THIRD bug. My second pulse channel is totally distorted when exported. The arpeggios are acting weird, which is especially strange since they worked perfectly well when I exported the first version (the one with the speed problem).
Gah! This is killing me. I'm under deadline pressure here...
Hi, I had a look on the file and found the problem. The NSF exporter has a bug that makes it unable to handle deleted instruments. Just create new instruments until all slots up to 6 in use.
plz take a look at it and see if you can work out the problem :'>
I removed all the unnecessary instruments in the pattern editor. Does it sound better?:
