Kin, your snare is cool, but like you said, its VRC7 component doesn't stand on its own very well without bringing in other channels to back it up. And Javel, that kick kicks my face. I'm totally stealing that.
Still looking for the perfect VRC7 snare.... I'm getting more comfortable with playing with the custom patch settings, though, so I'll probably take kin's snare as a starting point and see what I can get from there.

Kinkin, I took your snare from before -- the file named "for_modusponens.ftm" -- and tweaked it just a tiny bit, and most importantly added an S01 effect. For whatever reason, that instrument actually sustains longer the sooner you cut it off, and it sounds really good that way. That combined with Javel's kick bass, which doubles quite nicely as an electric tom when played in a higher octave and combined with a 2xx effect, and noise cymbals makes a very good drum set without needing DPCM, and I only need to sacrifice one VRC7 channel.
