Ok, so a little thing I noticed is that when you use the slide up effect (1XX) that when the note is higher the sliding up goes faster :/
I have a note that I want to use, but it just slides up 2 fast and the note ends before I want it too. To solve this I just droped the note by two octives, but it just doesn't sound as good.
Any ideas on how to work around this better?
The resolution for pitches is very granular at high frequencies, so there is less control.
I would say use Pxx if you want something really slow, i.e. P80 P81 P82 on successive rows or as fast/slow as you need. (Pxx gives you as fine a pitch resolution as is possible.)
Also the Hxx/Ixx hardware slides kind of work relative to the frequency, so you don't have as much of an issue with different speeds at different pitches; but this might not solve your problem of making a slow bend.
When a note slide is too fast for what I want, I usually use portamento (3xx) and just make the note I want (or something sufficiently higher if you just want a pitch bend) in the line right after the first note. Just remember to turn it off (300 in an effect column when you don't want a pitch raise); portamento is a setting-type effect, so it'll stay on for the channel it's in.

I generally try to use only 3xx or Q/Rxx for slides, since I want a little bit of control of where the slide is gonna end. I'm annoyed at the fact that the FDS channel doesn't seem to support either of those...
