Is this feature is still not implemented? I.e. pasting an empty row between every existing row, or deleting all the odd rows. I recall it wasn't long ago, and now I needed to expand few patterns again - it is extremly tedious to do without the feature (three keys presses per every note, and there are hundreds of notes). So it would be really nice to have it a next version. It is rather standart feature, actually, that was available even in FT2, so it is a must have.
One problem with adding this is that pattern length is global, so all patterns will be resized. Would this be acceptable? Or maybe the preferred way is to finally add local pattern lengths.
I thought he meant like in Scream/Impulse/Schism Tracker where it worked on a selection. Highlight 5 rows, press ALT+F and they get pasted over 10 rows with space in between, or vice versa.
Local pattern lengths doesn't seem necessary at all, since we have D00.
I already [url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/forum/posts.php?id=1891&pid=18612#18612]requested that in the requests list thread. I, too, am very interested in an expand/shrink selection feature.
I never had problems with lack of local pattern lengths in FamiTracker. To me it is not important to have them.
It is not necessary to resize patterns, the expand feature could just omit rows that aren't fit, and shrink leave empty rows (so user should manually resize patterns if he needs it). Anyway, any implementation of that feature would be much better than countless keypresses that are required now.
