I discovered nice small nsf player

Download some nsf file
[url=http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf.html]http://www.zophar.net/music/nsf.html

and open it in nsfplay, next go to options (second icon from the right side) and then menu view/keyboard
You can stretch this window and slow down tempo by time expansion
Now you can see what notes artist use in nsf file
pulses are red, triangle have green color.
This could be good for analyzing nes music.

Because there's no good way to reverse-engineer instrument macros automatically (even tempo detection would be spotty). This is just a frame-by-frame playback of what the hardware is doing.
