I guess they're stereo but the Esper Dream one sounds awesome. He adds some stuff to it...

Anybody know this guy? How do you do this exactly without it sounding bad? Such full sound.

Just sounds like stereo panning + reverb to me. Esper Dream 2 had the VRC6 chip, which is why it has extra channels.

(Also, in case you don't know, FamiTracker supports the VRC6 chip. Just go to the Module menu, choose Module Properties, and change the expansion chip setting.)

thanks man. i know about the VRC6 chip but i guess it is the panning and the blend of the channels that to me sounds really good. I have heard other stereo mixes but this guys stuff sounds different. Is there a recommended way of making a stereo mix like this...Is there more to it than importing the WAVs into a program like audacity and messing around with panning and effects?

Well, for my own music I would export all the channels individually and mix them up in Audacity, yeah.

If you were doing a lot of it and wanted to do it quicker, maybe just play it back with an NSF player that supports stereo panning. If you're using Winamp you can use a reverb plugin if you want reverb, etc.

I'm big on having nice stereo sound in my NES tunes, so when I create mp3 versions of my NSFs, I usually use jsr's NSFlive player, get the levels and pans like I want, then export to WAV.

If it's a big project and you need very precise control over volume/pan/effects send automation, as rainwarrior said, the only way is to export each channel individually and do the mixing in a DAW program.
