Who's up for some collaboration?

It's just a remix of Clubbed To Death that was inspired by another Clubbed To Death remix. I've got no DPCM percussion, one blank instrument & no extra channels; do whatever you guys want to it (use expansion chips, go crazy with effects, add DPCM samples, etc.).

Props to anyone who can do something to it without expansions, added instruments or DPCM samples; you might even be able to submit it as a Classical NSF in this year's FamiCompo Mini.

Note that this isn't a complete track; I just added a B01 at the last frame to keep things clean.

I like it, it makes use of the simplicity of the original NES channels, minus DPCM, and does a good job of it. Great job!

Well, it's clearly a work in progress, but it looks promising. I'm sure that you can merge your style into the original theme, but one thing you need to watch for is harmony (especially in frame 02's square channel 2; your arpeggios need more work in terms of complementing square channel 1).

Here's an edit I decided to do. Sorry, nintendude8; I know you were just trolling, so I only incorporated InterrobangPie's drum beat edit & Fezuke's frame 02 edit (with a little repair on the harmony side of things). If you did make a serious edit, though, I'd look forward to hearing it.

More (serious, non-trolling) edits are very, VERY welcome.

Added DPCM drums which I lifted from the original record that was sampled for Clubbed To Death: "It's A New Day" by Skull Snaps.
I wish I'd made the dmc's louder though.
Slowed the whole track down for this purpose.

Nice! I love the DMC samples here, man; it's just what this track really needed to supplement the noise drums. One way to improve it, though, is to alternate the Zxx effect between Z00 & Z7F in the DPCM channel. That way, a popping sound will be accompanied by the samples as they play. You can also increase the volume for specific parts of the noise channel to enhance a particular sample. It's one way to work with limitations (such as low sample volume).

I'm glad you like it that much. What you should do is save your original edit along with my change; it's a good way to compare how to do things between your normal style & a darker style.
