With pitch quantize you can quantize all selected notes or the whole song at once to a selected scale.
The scales are:
Major
Minor
Pentatonic
Augmented
Dimished
Whole Tone
Twotone
Tritone
Fourtone
With adjustable amount but that needs detuning.
The piano scales are not detuned to microtuning.
When creating general scales. You click on the notes on the keyboard
display for one octave. Those notes selected will be repeated for all octaves. Then when applying the scale to the music. The notes forces to the nearest notes in the scale to make it sound right or change the key the scale are in.
I am not sure if famitracker allows decreasing how many notes fit per octave. Changing notes per octave will detune each note to a modified keyboard where the pitch interval between notes are shorter or wider.
This sounds better to my ears than microtuning.
With beat quantize you can quantize all selected notes or the whole song at once to a selected beat rhythm.
The beats are:
1/4
1/4 Tempo
1/8
1/8 Tempo
1/16
1/16 Tempo
1/32
1/32 Tempo
With adjustable amount, then maybe out of sync beats?
When creating beat quantize settings. You change the space between old and new notes in a short tracker interface that is repeated for next beats.
With monotone forcing. You force all selected notes or the whole song at once to selected pitch and octave.
The pitches are:
C
C#
D
D#
E
F
F#
G
G#
A
A#
B
With random deviation. you can change how random out of tune the selected notes or the whole song should be.
The amount is adjustable from slight to heavy drastic out of tune random.
I hope this can be implemented.
Thanks in advance.
I'm sorry but I don't quite understand how quantization is supposed to work or be useful. A tracker is already quantizied in time, and I don't know why pitch quantization would be needed? Why not write the song in a selected scale from start?
Microtuning and random deviation might be interesting, but I don't think I'll have time to add it for some while. Maybe in the future.
