So I'm new to Famitracker and need a bit of help.

1. Chords. How do I make those? I looked around the wiki and tried the chord command but it just made weird noises, and with only 2 rhythm slots, I can't make anything more than a 2-note chord.

2. I want to have more than 2 rhythms. Is this possible?

I'm not sure what you mean by "rhythms." It sounds like you mean melodic channels (channels that can make tones instead of percussion), but the actual word implies percussion of some sort.

(1) Technically, with the triangle, you can make 3-note chords, but anything more than that and you'll need to make some sacrifices. I remember seeing somewhere that several contemporary composers (ie, people that actually wrote music for NES games) each took out the same note when writing a M7 chord (a 4-note chord). If you found command 0 (arpeggio), then that's the closest you can get, really. That command plays different notes in rapid succession, depending on the clock speed of the region. (60Hz for NTSC, 50Hz for PAL)

(2) You can add melodic channels by adding an [url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/wiki/index.php5?title=Sound_hardware#Expansion_sound]expansion chip. Unfortunately, they tend to work a bit different from the main NES sound channels, and require some getting used to. They can be added in Module > Module Properties, but only one can be set for the entire file. Also note that except for the MMC5, expansion channels require their own instruments, which can be added by having your cursor in an expansion channel, and adding an instrument.

OK, thank you. Also 1 last question I forgot to ask. What is the difference between Square, Triangle, Noise, and DPCM?

EDIT: And yes, I meant melodic.

It's in relation to the kind of noise they make. [url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/wiki/index.php5?title=Sound_hardware#Internal_2A03.2F2A07_channels]The wiki kinda explains it more. I barely know how DPCM works, so I'll need to pass any questions about that to someone else.
