Not very useful but...
You'll notice that Wario Land games use a particular sound but I dunno how to create this sound...
It's only in Wario Land 1,2 and 3.
If you've played Wario Land 2, for example, it is the lead for "Up to the rooftop" and "Lost in the ruins".
By the way, is there any Wario Land cover in the site ?
You can easily make this in FDS,It just uses vibrato.
Now, I don't know if you want the EXACT instrument, but I got something close.
It should be easy.

Almost, but it's only at lower notes that it gets less accurate to the original.

The link above is Wario Land music.
Maybe I can try to fix the wave, I can't get that exact sound, but something like it.
There's always the instrument thread, Have you checked there?
(I made three instruments slightly different, maybe one will be good enough)

There's one thing I wanna know.
When you play a note ( E for example ) and the same note a half step/tone lower or higher, it makes a string like sound ( to my ears ). I've wondered if this effect has a name.
It's best to use closer tone than a semitone (e.g. try the same note but with P84 on one of them). The effect is called by many names: Chorus, Flanging, Detune, etc.
