Yep. I don't think I deserved to win, but I was still pissed that Miko Miko Nurse pretty much destroyed any competition. It didn't even sound that good!

Sorry for the necropost, but the new FamiCompo Mini Vol.8 logo has appeared on the site. I wonder when it's going to start...

It looks like it might by either the end of the year or the beginning of next. That said, I'm no expert & can't speak for FamiCompo Mini.

I hope so, honestly. Tons of good music from tons of good composers.

And now that we've got NSF Import, the FamiCompo Mini repo should serve as a good place to learn different techniques.

Goddamn this is great...I just found the link...Thanks Rainwarrior!

And now back on topic...I'd love to hear more 2a03 in this year famicompo. Or a "no expansion chip" category.

Me too. Limitations are fun. I'm trying to get into 2A03-only for awhile. It helps me focus on the actual composition.

They still have that, by what I see:

http://midr2.under.jp/compo/vol7/index.html

One form of 2A03 with DPCM & the other form without DPCM (called "Classical"). I also gather from crappy-ass Google Translate that the last FamiCompo Mini required one original song & two covers as submissions (no medleys or multi-track NSFs).
