Some day I'll make my own NES music software, and I'll call it Visual MML
Oh-oh! so, you're a programmer!
Well, I want to do something like that, like an IDE for MML but better and a few tools to manage memory/help creating song (virtual keyboard, piano roll)
Well, I'm learning. I could easily make a program that can make MML files but graphics are a little tough... and I have no idea how to make things like MIDI input, or live sound emulation, but jsr did it, so it apparently isn't impossible Anyway, yeah, a piano roll is what I had in mind, I never did like trackers that much. Virtual keyboard... I assume you don't mean what Famitracker does - letting you play notes on the pc keyboard. So what *do* you mean?
Yeah! You're right, they sounded much better in Winamp using notsofatso plugin. It's really cool sounds. Are the instruments samples or is there a default soundbank when using VRC7?
Yeah but it is a bad habit to say FM modulation, I know
BUT the fact is that FM synthesis isn't real frequency modulation, contrary to its name. Yamaha told that it is FM synthesis, but it is in reality phase modulation. At some point, it is similar but it is not the same at all!
Anyway, who cares?
RE: How do I make VRC7 songs?Posted: 2008-06-09 00:11
im about to make another thread about this... but there is a tool called S3M to NSF and basically using a regular tracker that exports to S3Ms you can make regular 2a03 songs as well as VRC6 songs... i know its not VRC7 but atleast its something - i prefer the 6 anyway
