I've tried asking rush jet personally in a message but haven't got a reply, i dont know if he even knows himself the answer, i figured i'll just try a topic to the public instead about this.

Well i've desperately tried searching through the fami tracker forums for awhile, for megaman sound effects anyone may have done using Fami Tracker and never can find anything.

I wondered if anyone here knows of anyone, or anywhere where i might find sound effects for Megaman 10 specifically (xbox 360/ps3/wii) ripped to fami tracker. Because i'd really like to use a couple sounds from that game on my megaman 3 NES rom hack.

Or even fami tracker version of gameboy megaman 3-5 sounds. But I'm more looking for megaman 10 the most honestly.

Or is this the sort of thing people dont care about at all compared to music? I understand this isn't really an important subject, so it's okay.

What sound effects in-particular are you looking for from MM10? We have a handful of them recreated for Time Tangent, but I can't promise you it's the ones you are looking for.

MM10 has some very weird SFX. The Bomb Ticking SFX for example is a completely out of register note for the noise channel.

Well im not completely sure yet. But well, the ice noises that chill man makes during the battle/the weapon.

Possibly the couple shop noises when you go to the item shop to buy stuff.

Im just not really sure yet because i dont know what would exactly be fitting for future areas i'd want to use them at.

Like for the collecting bolts noise, i really hate the mm9/10 noise it makes. I perfer the SNES mm 7 one instead. I was trying to create the mm7 bolt collecting noise one day but i couldnt figure out how to get it to sound really deep like the snes. even though it's just 3 little notes. heh

I really wish i had a specific type of door opening noise from the Megaman ZX games, but well...that's way too impossible.

-------------------
i only have just a couple sounds "outside" of NES, already in my hack so far.
** Heart/Sub tank from SNES
** the 2 different noises you hear when filling up sub tanks, and the "tank is completely filled" - from SNES X1
** pause menu open from Gameboy megaman 5
** Achievement/award from megaman 9/10

You could use the NSF importer to plunder an NES Mega Man's sound effects... (not that this would help with MM10)

This might help you out a bit. We have a few of the SFXs that you wanted (shop, achievement get, etc)

rainwarrior. i dont really understand what you meant by that. I dont need anything from any of the actual NES megaman's. Im just looking for stuff "outside" of the NES. like from SNES, gameboy, mm9, and 10 and so on.

Well, i already got the achievement noise mex. the only thing out of those 39 you posted i could take is just the "buying items" thing. Since most of them in yours is just the already-existing NES noises which i dont need.

http://i52.tinypic.com/ogcoxc.png - i probably have no choice but to need custom made sounds for these. Like some little tiny computer activating control noise thingy for the computer room in duplexman, and an elevator scene in necro man. (shared)
And a door opening sound when opening doors.

There are other places i feel need a sound too. but i wont name them all. I've tried to do some other SNES sounds before like the window cracking noise from those windows in the intro stage of X3, but i cant figure it out. And the teleport away noise from the gameboy mm5..but it does some sort of "slide" effect with the notes or something that i dont understand.

Im NOT a music/sound composer type of person just for the record. i've only been able to do just a couple tiny little notes that i mentioned from the previous post...and that's it.

i guess nobody cares enough about sound effects after all since no one has still ever truly asnswered my question...if anyone's ever bothered to reproduce all the sound effects from megaman 10... or any kinds from the gameboy or SNES megaman's ??

Figured this wouldn't really matter to anyone..

and no offense to mex, but almost all of those in yours were just the mm1 and mm2 sounds... There's nothing in yours that im looking for...could use the shop item buying thing but that's it...the rest of them all aren't what i want.

Well I wouldn't mind remaking a few things if I had a .wav or something of them. If you put together a zip of what you want to be done I could do it pretty quickly I suppose.

Wow, Mex. That's pretty amazing. If only I had a game in production with an NSF engine.
