I'm new to famitracker, and the NSF that I'm covering has the same note repeated a couple times. But Famitracker plays the three notes as one continuous note. The only way I can find to get around this is entering note cuts, which ends up sounding incorrect anyways. Can someone help? Thanks!

Use volume envelopes. Three consecutive notes at the same volume will indeed come out as the same sound, because there is no "update" to the audio engine otherwise. So you could a) make an instrument and create a volume envelope or b) use the volume column to change the volume on the fly.

Hope it helped.

Could you explain volume envelopes? I haven't a clue what that means

An envelop is the set of numbers you see in an instrument's window. You can set whatever values you like (either a single, multiple or alternating values).

If the set of numbers are in the instrument's volume control tab, then it's a volume envelope; you can have envelopes for other features (like duty cycle, pitch, etc.).
