Hello Forum! I just joined, and as such I have not yet posted anything. So I figured that I would make a thread with the Mountain Mines theme from the first Mega Man for NES. I haven't seen any covers of this on YouTube that used Famitracker, so here it is!

Also, have Cyanide & Happiness's "Barbershop Quartet Performs in the Hospital."

I might do Cut Man's theme next, but I'm pretty sure someone else has already done that, so I probably won't post it here.

Nice. I can't really point out anything that sounds wrong with the gutsman theme though I assume others will be more picky than me.
I also like the barbershop quartet (especially since I know the short it comes from) though I think it'll sound better if you add volume fadeouts instead of letting the sound end abruptly.
Good work so far, anyway.

Scrimpeh, I like that idea. I'm also considering replacing all the note cuts with S05 commands.

Track Man, After reading some of the threads here, I completely understand what you're saying.

Welcome to the forums!
The Gutsman cover sounds pretty good. The only thing you need to change is the effect you're using on the squares. Gutsman's theme uses rapid pitch vibrato (the 4xx command) rather than the rapid tremolo you used (the 7xx command). If you replace the 7xx commands with 4xx commands (4F2 or 4F3 should work) for both squares, it should sound a lot better.

'kay... Here's that edit, then. 4F3, although I feel like it should be a faster vibrato... I'll have to listen to the nsf again. Also, I cant tell if the Noise is right or not. It seems too short, but when I change the Sxx it seems too long. Should I edith the instrument?

When using A-3, it's best to use vibrato strength of only 1 or 2, 4x3 and wider have a strong clicking noise as the square channel crosses a pitch boundary that causes it to reset. (So... I recommend 4F2 on the A-3 notes.)

Oh no! Perhaps a bug report is in order... Seems that the NSF version is dipping lower.
