I'm doing a Tetris OST, and yes, I know it has been done before by Dan, but that aside, I'm making the OST as accurate as possible, including little GameBoy glitches in the music, and getting the timing right by listening to MY ACTUAL GB. And I can't help but notice that some songs run at an odd 149.5 BPM. Why is this? Anyone care to explain?

I believe they refresh at slightly less than 60Hz. Don't remember the exact specs.
Since it's battery powered, the refresh rate was actually arbitrary. I guess they chose one close to 60Hz for familiarity, and probably the slightly slower rate was a convenient number of clock cycles for them.
Hmmm. That's something to think about. And while [url=http://www.google.com/search?q=GameBoy+Sound+Specs&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a]searching for an explanation, I found [url=http://nocash.emubase.de/pandocs.htm]this, Which is bound to help in my OST a lot. And thanks, RainWarrior.
