You really are improving, man. If only it were extended; I'm sure it could eventually be incorporated into a game.
That's the thing, I wanna finish it as soon as possible, because I have a deal with a guy that if I make high enough quality music for him to put in his games, he'll pay me to get it. Which is why my current occupation reads "video game musician".
Jegus, dude. I don't know what you did with that 366 in that first song, but it does some WEEEEEEIRD shit to the notes. I know it's supposed to be a pitch slide, but it's like it's not getting to the right notes... Seriously, remove those 366's, then listen to it again. The notes are entirely different.
The instrument used at that point has { 3 6 } as its arp macro, which results in "weird shit" notes. 366 cancels the effect of that macro and plays the actual base notes instead (with portamento, of course).
Ahh. Huh. Didn't know that. Oh, the wacky quarks of the NES.
Anyways. I tried to do something with that first one, but didn't get too far. Not to mention I'm probably not the best person to be doing stuff like this to begin with. But I'll put it up anyways, just because.

It makes sense though. 3xx uses arps (that is, rapid changes in pitch) to slide from one note to the next, so it stands to reason that using it cancels your instrument's arp macro. If you were to write each event of a single use of 3xx on its own line (900bpm-style), you'd end up with a bunch of notes with Pxx commands next to them between your initial note and the target note.
Betasword, I was gonna try to use the arps as a bass, and the VRC6 squares as a lead, but I like where you're going with it. Just remove the almost-mariokart melody.
you need to actually complete the songs
you're starting to have great 10-minute tidbits that could be incorporated into the song, but you need to actually do the WHOLE song...unless this is a wip or something
FINISH THE FIRST ONE
