Haha, funny you mention 3xx. I actually never realized that 3xx was there. Thanks then, I'll try it out. Hopefully I can get it to not retrigger a note when it reaches the note after the slide.
Edit: Wait... is it broken? No sound seems to be playing when I use it from the first note.
For some reason you need to place it at the note you want to slide to, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, which I think is quite stupid, I also hate how vibrato and tremolo are like that too
This, as well as effects numbers, is derived from the MOD/XM effects system for familiarity reason. This is the behavior that really many people are used to.
Portamento is slide from a previous note to a new note. How would you expect it to work for the first note if there is no previous note?
I think I should say that my desire to continue this project is very low as it is, and seeing comments with words like 'stupid', 'hate', 'far worse' certainly does not help to increase it.
You say it is a slide from a previous note to a later note. That is what I am doing. If you start it from the very first note placed to a later note placed, no sound plays from the note. I am using it as it should be.
Also, I said nothing of hate. I mention DAC mixing is worse than what ZA says of continuous effect placements. You said you would not impliment a feature about mixing for the DAC, but that wouldn't stop me from doing it anyway =P
Besides, I use this tracker all the time! I love it and the effort you put into it.

That's how like 90% of trackers handle it. FamiTracker is the exception, really.
I think that something similar to Qxx/Rxx in FamiTracker could be quite useful.
Say for example that you want the note to start sliding to another note the exact moment it is on.
It gets annoying to use perfect 1xx/2xx slides everytime I want that.
Doommaster1994, if you mean your recent PM regarding ZS, I answered right away - the music is mine.
Qxx/Rxx could be only implemented if they'll fit into existing system, I don't want to make major changes in the player. I'll check later if it is doable.

I don't HATE anything about the tracker, the game project with my friend would be nowhere without VGM and your TFD engine for the Genesis.
This is just a minor incovinience that only I feel because I learned music and trackers in general through Famitracker, so I rage every time a tracker does something differently. I'm just used to it.
I far from hate this tracker or VGM. VGM was my first intro to FM emulation in a tracker, and I was extatic when I heard that you were doing a Genesis chip tracker. I actually created a very good Looney Tunes intro using VGM, and now that I know how to change speeds to alter the overall temp I will be sure to use both trackers more.
Don't give up on your tracker, Shiru.
