I was going to try and load up a screen shot to show you what is wrong, but whenever I try to paste the screen shot, it opens up a garbled image.

Anyway, upon opening Famitracker I could already tell things were wrong. The "song information" is overlapping the instrument panel. The "frames" number window is being overlapped by the oscillator window. I also do not have the "add instrument" or the button below it under the oscillator window. I was following the pdf tutorial, and I could get around not having those buttons, but when it had me go into the "edit instrument" mode is when the problems caused me to stop all together.

The "sequence/volume level window is overlapping about a third of the window to the left of it with all of the options. Following the tutorial it told me to create an instrument "bass" in the "triangle" field. So I did as such. Then I hit the "+" and went into editor after that. I raised the volume up to one, and then the tutorial said to push the "insert" button. I do not have an insert button to be found anywhere.

There may be some sort of noob mistake I am making that is causing the insert button to not appear, but the clipping issues and the other missing buttons were missing from the get go.

Any help will be much appreciated.

It may have meant the insert button on your keyboard.

Anyway, I recall someone having this problem before (isn't it a Windows 98 thing?) I have no idea how he solved it though... or if he solved it.

I know that problem, and I think it was caused by the DPI setting in windows being set to something other than default.

Only way to fix it is to restore it to default.

I am running XP, and my resolution is set to what it was when I got the computer. Wasn't sure what a DPI was, but it seems to be more of a printer related issue. I played around with the resolution before making my initial post, but no matter what size I set it to, the clipping issues are at the same magnitude.
