for some reason my song was cut from 64 steps to 32 steps. and when i expand it back to 64 all the notes that were there are gone...wtf. half my song is gone. extremely frustrating. It exported successfully as a wav before this happened(thank god) and i exported the nsf at the same time. i didnt notice the NSF was screwed up until now (about 2 weeks later) and i am now realizing that the ftm is the same way. anyone else experienced this?

Moved to bug reports.

Also under what version of the software does this happen? Care to elaborate exactly on the circumstances under which your problem happened? It helps to know that kind of stuff.

Wrote the song initially using 3.5 – 64 steps on all frames. although I think some time between when I started writing it and when I exported it I started using 3.6. I can’t remember exactly when I switched over to 3.6. it may have been after the fact, not really sure. Here’s what I did in order: Finished song. Exported as wav (worked fine). exported as nsf (but did not actually listen to the nsf until about 2 weeks later) closed out of fami, saved it. when I noticed the nsf was all screwy I opened up fami to find that the song was dropped down to 32 steps all around and all notes beyond 32 steps were deleted. It seems to me like somehow between exporting as a wav and exporting as nsf this happened and I just didn’t realize it right away.

Odd. Would you mind attaching the FTM and NSF files for us?

The song feels complete this way. Are you sure it isn't supposed to have 32 rows per frame? o.O

yea i have a dxx command on the 32nd row of the last frame to make it loop, may something to do with that. i've had it happen in other songs where it will lower the number of rows down to that number, but never where it deleted the notes that were there.

This was a problem in 0.3.5, using undo on a pattern with Dxx or Cxx also changed the global pattern size. If you saved the file then there's nothing to do, sorry for the inconvenience!

I had that exact problem happen to me too. Luckily I had sent an earlier version of the song to my brother and I just asked him to send me back. It WAS super frustrating. But I know this issue is fixed now.
