Sooo, i was fiddling with a little harmonic minor and i made this over about 30 minutes.
i even found out how to make drums ^^
atleast my drums.

then there's volume swelled notes in the end.
check it out and tell me if it's any better than my first.

i'll post both of them here.

1st = An introduction
2nd = Enter cheesy name

so yeah, tell me what you think about the second.

okay here's the deal:
i don't want a heavy "guitar" sound.
i don't want to use V-01, since it sucks.

come on now. are you saying everyone should do every chip the exact same way? ofcourse not.

i use the V-02 because it sounds better. a lot better, not because it would sound like a guitar.

i do understand the thing about the drums tho. i know they aren't perfect, but i will not change my style of sound because someone says it's "how the chip works".

You're completely right.
people mostly seek for positive feedback and aren't used to any negative.

but internet doesn't really let me express my speech as it should be.

hmh... well then, how do i learn how the chip works?? o_O
i mean, what do i have to know? :O
it's just a bit strange that everyone just replies to everything "it's okay, you're a beginner and you need to learn how the chip works"..
that's no help :D

but meh, maybe i was writing a bit aggressively. :P
sorry 'bout that :P

Well, to learn how the chip works, you need to understand not just the effects & instrument settings, but you need to understand the physics of sound.

Let's say you have two square waves playing the same note at the same volume. Is square wave 1 plays C-03 at volume level F, while square wave 2 plays the same note & volume, the combined waves will produce one single sound wave with double the volume (in this case, the volume is F + F = 1E, or 15 + 15 = 30).

This & other things (little quirks about the chip that you'll find just by reading the wiki or searching the forum).
