Relatively simple remix. I didn't want to over use the VRC6 channels for this one so I left alot of square 2 and the sawtooth channel out, save for it sounding really muddy and awful.
I really really liked this. The simple stuff you added was great. One nitpick, though. I felt it could have used some more snare. The drums at frame 08 (or lack thereof) made it sound a bit empty. Other than that, great!

I'm glad you enjoy this. Though, what do you mean by more snare? Are you saying the sample was bad or just not enough in general? Sounds fine to me, crazy drum beat during the crazy arp section, slack off a bit at the section afterwards and finally at frame 8 tone it down even more and prepare for the arp section again. Fits perfectly in my mind. If you want to, you can alter the ftm. Always nice to see other peoples takes on something.

I thought the drums in the rest of it were perfect but frame 08 was a bit lacking. It could be a matter of personal taste but I felt that the liveliness of the rest of the song should still be carried over, at least in one part (when the rest of the parts are holding out or not very note-heavy). Here's what I came up with for frame 08.

I started remixing a couple of songs from this forum in FL Studio 9 ever since I got it. I decided to post this complete one today, but the file was way too big. After alot of fiddling around with compression, I've finally made the best quality version of the file I can.
EDIT: Sorry about bumping this thread, I just wanted to share my doings.
Bumping old threads doesn't bother me, so don't mind it. Anyway, I like what you did with this. I like the sound of the bass, reminds me of some FM esque sound. The part I used with the VRC6 sounds nice in your version too.
Well, of all the people that could have commented, I'm glad it was you, the creator. To say that you like it is good, I'm glad you like what I did. I will post a full quality version on 8BC, where the upload is limitless, so you can download it there.
P.S. you'll need quicktime 7 pro to do that. I recommend using the second code in the description of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihCS2enRUp8. It worked for me.
EDIT: I posted it here: https://8bc.org/music/tdude10/Pokemon+RBY+Battle+Theme/

Thanks but I don't get why I need Quicktime =P
Are you saying I need it to download from 8BC? Because I don't have it, yet I can download an mp3 from there just fine.
