This one isn't really major, but I think it'd be a kind of cool add-on.
I'm hand-tabbing one of my songs right now... because I've got nothing better to do with my time...

The song isn't even CLOSE to being done yet. It's also my first MOD I've ever tried doing (I've played around with mod before, but I'm only starting to understand it now :P)
Anyway, it's nothing major... but I think if you have the export you can eventually find a way to import from ascii and that'd make instrument defining and such easier too.
First: Have you tried MCK and MML?
If not, I think that has what you want. Instead of tracking you are writing the music and compiles it to a NSF.
It's a different way to create music, and some likes it better, so make sure to check it out.
And for the question, I don't think it would be hard to do such a thing, but I'd rather put that time on improving the interface.
Anyway, I've received some requests about import support for some different formats, so it might be possible to add something like that eventually.
