Nothing, 'cause I already got stuff for Hanukkah!! Also because I don't expect you to attend to my insane wishlist in the next 24 hours. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am loving the new version. I can honestly say I'd be comfortable using it on stuff now. It still could definitely use a few things to make it more usable, though, but it's come so incredibly far. You're responsible for a huge surge in the western NES music scene... Thank you!!

I've come up with some suggestions (with tumult's help) to make it better for composing, and more friendly to other tracker users.. I can explain each one in more detail if you'd like me to, but here's a start:

* Key-off points on instruments (where | is a loop point, \ would denote a final sequence played upon the *** command in the pattern. Because the final value might be non-zero, resulting in infinite playback with no way to cut the note absolutely, you might consider implementing a secondary "key-off" command, as === instead of ***. Key-off would be useful not only for volume (release envelopes) but for Duty and Pitch as well (Both common in Konami stuff for example, adds that extra little gloss) so I suggest integrating it into all the "effect" slots in the instrument editor.

* A keyboard modifier to bypass the step size - I suggest alt+up/down. This moves the cursor up or down by one row, ignoring the current step size. This is handy to avoid having to re-set the step size every time you wish to simply skip up or down by one row, to edit "in-betweener" notes/values.

* An option to change the delete key's function to "pull-up", i.e. the same function as the backspace key except the cursor remains stationary. Just like the delete key in Windows. Deletes the current row, pulling up the data underneath by one row.

* The ability to use the num-pad keys for entering values.. Some of us weirdos actually prefer typing number values on the num-pad!

* A shortcut / button to insert a new Frame below the current frame, filled with the next unused Pattern numbers in each channel. Example: if you had a frame of 01 03 04 02 00 and you pressed this "new unique frame" button, it would insert a new Frame of 02 04 05 03 01. Adding frames, as it is now, is a bit tedious/troublesome.

* Similarly, the ability to select/cut/copy/paste data across channels would be great. I know that frames and patterns are not the same thing, but sometimes you want to e.g. copy both Square channels at once and paste them to whatever patterns are in the next frame.

* An alternative to the Wrap Cursor function, which will let you cross between Frames continuously.. For example, if I am at Frame 00 and my cursor reaches the end, pressing down (or entering a note) will bring me into Frame 01. This will help to further the paradigm of frames as a continuous "tapestry" of data, which the Preview Next/Previous already suggests (perhaps misleadingly, as it is now). Selection/copy/paste across frames is probably too difficult, but would be interesting.

* PLEEEEASE make the portamento not retrigger the envelopes, or add another portamento command that simply slides the pitch to the target without re-triggering the note (exactly how 1 and 2 behave, only targeted)

Okay, that's everything I can think of right now. I love you, we all love you, and believe me, we're continually amazed by your work, and will keep supporting you (and suggesting improvements) as long as you have time to work on it.

You already know it, but I'll take care of that list.
